BE BRAVE: Day 9: Opening Up

BE BRAVE, otherwise known as "Do One Thing Every Day That Scares You", is the title of the month-long project inspired by Jessie. I am participating daily for a month. Today is Day 9.

Today I made two videos...hope you like them. Please see my request for comments at the end about how I'm doing the videos!

The first video is 1:22 long.

The second video is 1:30 long.

Oh, BTW, if anyone is having trouble viewing the videos, please let me know; also please include in the comments what I can do to improve. Other than um....focusing on my whole face, not jumping around so much, getting my hair done, not saying "huge" and "so" all the time, getting the lighting right, and getting the sound level consistent. Those things I know about and am working on. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

The video's are great especially the following your heart part. I have to think about that a little. I have a copy of Women who Run with the Wolves which I have never read, maybe its time. I am also glad to hear you are not giving up the sleep thing. You will get to it, it may just take some practice is all.

The videos are just great Olivia, I'm enjoying connecting with you in this way. I guess technically speaking, it will just take practice - so keep making these, I love them!

Kate, wouldn't it be great if we all read it at the same time? It's a book that needs to be digested, and I remember that when I started it before it was so good but it didn't feel like the right time.

I want to get that sleep thing down. As long as I don't give up, it's doable :)

Thanks for your encouragement, Kate!

Sleep tight,
O

Patti, likewise, I sort of picture everyone while I'm making them. I do have to get some of those technical issues ironed out, but it's coming, and I'm also becoming more familiar with the software, too. Thanks, Patti...have a good night (although I guess it's early Sunday eve in Australia, the next day for us),

Love, O

Enjoyed your videos immensely. They made me smile and I know you didn't plan it, but the thunder at the end of the first one was a great touch by you know who. Bravo for no sugar, alcohol or refined carbs! Wow.

Thanks Angela! No, I did plan the thunder, I'm getting good at this (ha ha) :) Thank you for the kudos for my Health Grounding, boy is it hard, and I'll take that encouragement. I MISS MY HIGHLY PROCESSED & REFINED CARBOS!

Love & Blessings, O

Way to go with the video's Olivia...it's something I've wanted to do for awhile too but let it slide due to technical inadequacies with my last computer. You've inspired me to give it another go soon.

I think it's VERY brave of you to do this. With a written blog, it's still possible to hide somewhat...but with video, we really have to step out there and let the world see just who we are (and I see a very brave lady)! Not for the weak of heart!!

Way to go girl!!

Thank you, Kate. You're absolutely right---I'm all out there with dark roots and bad hair days (every day is a bad hair day with me). Seeing myself on video for the first time had me realizing, "Ok, I am aging and I am gaining weight!" Couldn't avoid it. But, it also helped me to accept myself. And to have less fear about what others think about my appearance. I'm trying myself in these :)

I think you'll really enjoy videoing, Kate!

Blessings and Love,

O

i have to say that there is not one thing i would want you to change about your videos! i love walking with you through your day...down rainy driveways, through the woods, through your home, towards your stove (mmmmmm....smell that kale!). :)- i love absolutely every little bit of it and your videos are having the incredible effect of keeping my enormously inspired to keep going!

i also have to say that reading women who run with the wolves has been very timely. due to time constraints and mental musings, i haven't made it much past the first chapter...but that's ok, cuz i have been enjoying reading, underlining (practically everything!), and then thinking and rereading. i'm glad you're reading it along with me. and, actually, my thoughts on the book could really use a whole post rather than taking up so much of your comment space! :)-

thanks for the wonderful videos, olivia. at the moment i'm catching up on your posts since my little mini-vacation. on to day 10 of your journey i go! :)
