Fear Or a Cry For Love

Yertle, from Smile, Play, Dream, posts a Monday Motivator. Today she featured a quote from Rilke, which I just love:

"Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love."--Rainer Maria Rilke

This is a beautiful quote, Olivia...if fears are just something helpless that want our love...then perhaps they aren't so scary after all...

(amazing photo by Love Hubbie !!!)

love Kim

I loved it so much, too, Kim, and applied it in a special way to my life.

The expression on that lizard's face is incredible---that he captured this with a camera---wow!

Peace and love, O

Oh man - I needed that quote today. I'm facing a tough meeting with someone who intimidates me, but I suspect that deep down, he's a vulnerable soul just like the rest of us.

p.s. I hope you don't mind - I'm making a little poster of the quote with your photo to hang above my desk today - to give me boldness for some of the things/people I have to face.

Yes, a beautiful quote, Olivia! And compliments to LoveHubbie on the fabulous photo! I hope you're feeling better and glad you didn't have to go to that event. Now, off to check out the Vault. You always post the most interesting things.

Heather,

I'm so glad it's helpful.

Yes, I was thinking about this especially as regarding bullies...in fact I had a particular bully in mind when I first read that quote.

As the Course in Miracles says, everything is either love or a cry for love...

And no, I don't mind at all. LoveHubbie will be thrilled that someone else enjoyed his photo!

xxoo,

O

Thanks, Angela,

Oh, I am. I think that must have been a short-lived virus or something. I'm back to normal, such as that is :)

I think you'll enjoy the Vault. Don't you like Heather's video, too? That really moved me.

I'll tell LoveHubbie you like his picture as well. I think it's one of his best.

Blessings,

O
