Sacred Life Sunday: Spousal Support (Something I Could Do More Of)

Today LoveHubbie needed some support. So I took the day off and we went to downtown Olympia, walked around the port (which is at the south end of Puget Sound), downtown (note the abundance of public art), and on to our favorite pub. We then came home and watched a Tivo-ed "CBS Sunday Morning" and part of "60 Minutes"--the part about the colony collapse disease of the bees. Lastly, LoveHubbie phoned and talked to his daughter in college in Texas and went on to bed, since work had kept him up most of Saturday night. I stayed up to vlog to you about our day.

The song here is the Oscar winning (as of a few hours ago) song "Falling Slowly" from "Once"... Please excuse my voice and the traffic sounds during the video; I thought I'd be able to edit them out, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. If anyone knows how to do it with WMM, please let me know! Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy sharing our day with us (and...ummm...knowing what raku is now, just like Mark...)

What a great day you two spent together! I wish I knew how to do this. Of course my videos wouldn't be half as interesting since I spend most of the time solo on my weekends!

Loved sharing your day Olivia. I thought hearing your voices enhanced the mood of the video and I still enjoyed the music.

Jane, it was certainly a great day...I'm sure your videos would be FASCINATING! I would enjoy watching your create your art and relaxing. I normally like to spend about 90% of my total time alone, even on weekends, but LoveHubbie wanted to get out, so we did and I'm glad! xxoo, O

Patti, I'm glad...and I'm glad you didn't think the voices ruined it :) Thank you for letting me know, Love, O

Looks like a fun day! I agree with Patti that the voices only seemed natural to hear as you were walking along, showing us the sites.

Just think of it as a movie, O! Movies often have music going on even as people are talking, sometimes with the conversation in the foreground, sometimes the music. We'll look forward to seeing you nominated for next year's Oscars.

Rick, thanks, I'm glad you like it too. It was funny because before I tried and tried to get it this way and it was an either/or situation---the original sound track or an overlay but not both---and now it's the opposite. You're right though, it is like a movie. Sometimes the music predominates and at other times it's the dialogue. Now if I can figure out how to balance the two, I'll have it made!

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Blessings and peace tonight,

O

Hey, Scott! I'm glad. We may do more of this type of thing. Good to "see" you second hand---you saw us, but we didn't see you :)

So...we have something to ask you, so I'll mention to Mark to try to call you soon. We both have the flu and are getting ready for vacation and had to let someone go today at the office. But still...would love to talk to you,

xxoo,

O

PS. Special Friday blessings to you!
