Cage Art

So what's the deal with this Cage Art I'm attracted to? I didn't realize until I made this video that both pieces feature cages. It's only 37 seconds long :)

The beautiful pieces are from Maddie and Karen---Karen's (my new piece called "She Holds the Cage") just arrived today :)=Big Big Smile!

There must be some significance to this!

Yay! I'm glad it arrived safe and sound, AND I'm glad you like it!

I think you're interested in cages because you're unlocking your own...

oh, i think there must be all kinds of interesting symbolism around the cage imagery. maybe you could do some stream of consciousness type writing about it to see what you come up with.

what a lovely little nook you have!

Rick, It sounds EASY, doesn't it? Love, O

The secret is, it really is easy. That's not to say I'm particularly good at taking advantage of this knowledge, myself, but I think we all have those moments when we experience that ease, so we know about it.

I'd be willing to bet that no one can claim to have gotten to those moments of blissful ease by working really hard and sweating gallons and perservering--instead, it happens almost without our even being aware until we are in it! Until we are willing to accept all the way to our deepest core that ease is truly our designed path, the way the universe was set up for us, we will stay right where we are: convinced that it only sounds easy. And, we get just what we expect.

Come on, Olivia...fly, even if just a little.

Rick,

I read your comment yesterday and then went for a walk and started thinking about how to fly. I started identifying cages, then I taped my words while I tried to walk yesterday and thought of what flying might be to that cage. Then today I had a quiet time and rediscovered some of my old writings that I use to remind myself of who I am---I read them for the rest of my quiet time and my "cage escapes" seemed silly after that, as I was re-oriented around my true identity and the cages didn't seem real at all.

I hope this makes sense!

So I am ready to fly, even if I don't quite know what that is.

But, I think I know what the next step is, so I'll do that.

So that's where I am right now :)

Thanks for being so provocative,

Love,

O

Olivia, it is so cool that in this reply, you perfectly echo the quotes you posted two days later! You went back to the most-basic, most-nurturing place: know who you are, know what you want.

And, you are so right about the cages. There are no cages, no barriers, no walls, no hinderances whatsoever beyond the ones we create for ourselves.

You, my friend, are flying.
