Wellness Wednesday: Love

Tonight (just now) I watched this video on Cute Overload and had to share it with you. It's an oldie, and you may have seen it, but just on the chance that you haven't I'm putting it here as well. I'm still crying from watching it. It reminds me of the love I had with my dogs who passed on years and years ago. They still live in my heart, though. I can never forget that special feeling...and this video brought it to life again for me, which is great because sometimes I forget how good it felt. Love is the greatest gift.

You may think I'm a real cynic, probably because I am, but it does seem as though love among humans can come and go. People seem so fickle. Those who say they love you today may change their minds tomorrow. However, animals do seem to know how to love. And they don't forget.

Oh Olivia, I agree, and this vid made me cry! Often humans will judge and walk away, despite what they know of you from the past. My precious dog Jess just exudes love towards her family. We are so fallible and she is unfaltering in her devotion. I hope she never forgets me, I value her love too much! Thanks for the video!

I'm so glad you liked it, Patti, and that you have Jess. How precious. She could not forget you; it would be impossible. I do believe that true love---TRUE love---never dies.

I bawled and bawled and even now start to cry when I think of it. It was such a good reminder of my "boys" Flint and Winston, though. Bringing my love for them back, almost their presence back, for a while. Good tears!

Peace and Love,

O

There is a spirit in this video which touches anyone willing to be touched--I, too, felt the tears as Christian accelerated down the slope to greet his rescuers.

Thanks, Olivia!

I've always found extraordinary comfort from my little dog. Pure acceptance, no judgment, no competition, none of the social games so often devised by human beings. My dog doesn't care who I am as an individual. She just goes along in her life, loving everyone. She's the inspiration for the signature quote on some of my emails. "Someday I want to be the person my dog thinks I am."

:)
