Sacred Life Sunday: Being Brave

This Sacred Life Sunday post is to commemorate the work that Jessie and I did years ago in our "Be Brave" project. Jessie started it and I joined in and over the years we revived it. Now I would say we are living "Be Brave".

The project was inspired by the words of Eleanor Roosevelt who said, "Do one thing every day that scares you." Sometimes just the regular stuff that life brings to you is enough to scare you. You don't have to have a "Be Brave" project to bring extra things in in order to challenge yourself. This is the life that I'm living right now and that I believe Jessie is too. I have learned so much from Jessie and continue to be inspired from her journey.

So anyway, when I saw this picture of her, it moved me so much and I remembered those days back in 2007. I wanted that bracelet too. So badly, I wanted it. To remember. To be inspired today by what Jessie and I did four years ago. And by what she is doing now. And as a reminder of what I need to be every day.

~Amazing bracelet created by Jen from Realia. Thank you Jen!
~Thank you for your example, Jessie! And yes, this bracelet makes me feel like Super Woman Be Brave Badass too!

These bracelets are so SUPER wonderful! I think I'd feel powerful and very, very brave with a cuff like that! Quite a few years ago I used to see myself in that fantastic Wonder Woman pose, (hands on hips, legs spread out a bit in a strong stance)in my meditations. I felt very strongly that my higher/divine self was sending me this image to remind myself of just how powerful (and wonderful) I am. I still feel happy when I think about that!

I think you are an incredibly brave person Olivia and you've been a great inspiration to me.

I love you too Jessie, and am glad we are doing this with synchronicity, even though apart. You are a Fierce Brave Badass Warrior Woman and I am glad to be your Be Brave friend! xoO

kate, thank you so much, this is so affirming to me. You continue to inspire me as well--especially recently with your use of EFT! It's so weird, but I do feel more powerful with this leather cuff, much more so than any other type of jewelry or talisman. I don't know if it's because Jessie had it first and because of our history, or the fact that it's a cuff, or what. But I feel it! Thanks kate, and peace, xoO

I love this pic and the bracelet is wild. I'm clicking on the link next to find out how I can get this bracelet too.

I love the quote from Eleanor. I remember seeing the "Be Brave" campaign several years ago... but I was never a part of it... I think I saw it at the last minute... anyway....hope you and Hubby had a great Memorial Day weekend....

I'm off with Hubby to Abuelo's (my favorite Spanish rest) and will meet up with 2 of my sisters.

Hugs....
