I am having trouble typing, so I'm talking today in answer to your comments from my last post My Friends Held Me Up. It is 8 minutes long:

What a great idea... to respond to comments on a video that way.

I can see that you still feel raw and tender. This is a good time to do something special that will allow you to feel embraced by your community (in the Hawaiian sense).

Jane's idea: I'm going to do that. It really is a wonderful idea. I get a lot of meaningful comments and it's too easy to forget them over time.

Olivia,
Thank you for this honest and beautiful video reminder. I am, as always, inspired by your bravery and your strength. You give the gift of your soul here, and that is no small gift.

I send you some healing energy for your injured hand Olivia, it must be frustrating trying to type without it. Do take care and find some cotton wool to wrap yourself in for a few days. Gentleness at this time.

Dang. I find it much more difficult to feel like I am in the same room with you, O, when you are expressing much the same kinds of things you express in writing, than I do to read what you write.

It is such a powerful sense of longing to help which I pick up when seeing this!

Please know that I am so amazed at your strength and at your composure (I know it is a bit silly to point out, but how in the heck did you say all that??? You had me in tears before the first minute was up!) that it baffles me what else to say.

It boils down to this: healing light, healing love, healing laughter. All are yours, in a quantity far exceeding your need. Share them, won't you?

Olivia, I'm not glad your hand is hurt but very glad you turned to the video medium. It was so good to see your face and hear your voice just now.

I do keep a folder in my emails called "to read when down." I put the uplifting and encouraging blog comments and emails in there.
