On the back of my office door is taped a piece of paper which has one word printed on it. "WHINING" is surrounded by a red circle, and has a diagonal line through it--the international symbol for "prohibited." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_symbol)
I actually use that piece of paper whenever there is a closed-door meeting going on in my office and someone starts to whine. I'll interrupt them and simply point to the sign on the door. I've never had to do that more than one time during a meeting.
